The Sex And The City Blu-ray Is A Gratifying Film

I was searching for anything to do tonight, so i searched through my dvd movies. I picked out a copy of The Sex and The City Movie. It actually was wonderful. It picked up a couple of years later, after the tv series had concluded. Carrie gets engaged to Big, Miranda is handling married life in Brooklyn, Samantha deals with living in L.A. and being monogamous with Smith, and Charlotte and Harry are taking it one day at a time with their adopted daughter Lily and end up with an stunning surprise.

There are moments of grief and hard times but just like in the tv series, the specialty of these four womens’ friendships is what assists them through life. The style, just as in the series, is cutting edge and as entertaining as the characters. There is an surprising montage when Carrie plays dress up in designer wedding gowns for a magazine layout and the ladies attend fashion week later in the dvd. Carrie ends up finding a personal assistant and Jennifer Hudson was a great add-on to the cast of actors.

For those who would like a little meat in a picture pressing 180 minutes, though, it’s gratifying to report that this Sex is more than just a fan dance. They are all over 40 nowadays, and writer/director Michael Patrick King deftly balances their hard spent wisdom with the bittersweet dreams they still share. Simultaneously, there’s great deal of fun to be had. A vision of which doesn’t demand its characters being fixed in amber after a fairytale ending and lets life to go on, happily and unconventionally.

On the flipside It’s just that there’s been an altitude adjustment — less stilettos, more flats. Ask what women require of a chick flick and one response may be this — a gratifying reunion with treasured friends. Ask what women deserve and the answer is greater. In both its TV and movie incarnations, the empty materialism and honest yearning for love always manage to cancel each other out, leaving behind nothing but what this started out as — a sitcom.

But as a whole Sex and the City blu ray dvd is worth add-on to your collection, so give it a good watch. It’s not as gratifying as the TV show but will still thrill lovers of the original show.
