Ways Of Keeping Fit And Active
Major sickness such as heart disease, diabetes and colon cancer can be warded off by keeping yourself physically fit. You have to do moderate activity for more than 30 minutes about 5 days per week. This will help ensure you stay fit and healthy.
Science shows that routine exercise helps you to reduce your risk of many major illnesses. Regular exercise will help you to:
• maintain a healthy blood sugar level to prevent diabetes or keep it in check
• promote proper bone density to defend against osteoporosis
• greatly decrease the overall risk of types of cancer
• enhance levels of HDL and reduce the risk of getting heart disease
• decrease high blood pressure which reduces the danger of developing heart disease
• boost the immune system
• promote self-confidence and help stave off depression
• helps to maintain a healthy weight and body fat amount
I’m a Personal Trainer in Hollywood and can tell you that for many, future illness may not be enough of a motivator for physical activity. Regardless of the evidence, many people find reasons to avoid exercise. Maybe you can recognize a familiar excuse in the list below:
• you don’t have enough free time because of work or family commitments
• spin]the price of|cost of[/spin] equipment or gym membership fees may be too high and you can’t afford it.
• you don’t have convenient locations or facilities locally to workout or exercise
• you cannot exercise out of doors alone due to personal [spin]danger|safety[\spin]
• bad weather conditions
• you have some previous injury or you are worried about getting injured
• you must workout at night and don’t feel safe or motivated
• too exhausted or just too lazy
In spite of the excuse, if you don’t find a way to conquer your personal hurdles and start getting physically fit the evidence shows that you will suffer the consequences. If you simply can’t do a formal workout then find other ways to get active. Little choices you make in your everyday go a long way toward increasing your activity amount, boosting your metabolism and raising your heart rate. You don’t have to run a marathon or lift 300 lbs. Try a long walk with the dog. Find something to keep yourself as fit as possible, even without an exercise program.
Types of activity that work:
In my role as a CA Workout Coach I have learned through my clients that the majority of people have a belief that only intense workouts are counted as true fitness activity. But great health benefits can be attained from regular activity without the need for special equipment, memberships or rigorous routines.
When you perform moderate intensity activity your heart rate and breathing will enhance. This is the goal you want to achieve in whatever activity you pick. You will feel heated. But in spite of this you should be able to talk without panting. Being completely out of breath means that you are pushing yourself too hard. Typical daily tasks, if done at the right pace, can count toward keeping you healthy and preventing illness.
As a Beverly Hills Fitness Trainer I teach my clients that the following are in your goal to stay fit and healthy:
• Take the stairs and don’t use the elevator as much as possible
• If you have to take an escalator then walk up, don’t just stand
• Walk as opposed to driving whenever possible. You will be surprised how many places are within a close walking distance from your home.
• Household chores such as sweeping, moping, vacuuming can be done at a brisk pace
• Gardening is a great way to stay active. Planting, mowing, weeding and trimming are all great activities.
• Enroll in a dance class or sign up for a local amateur sports team
• Walk the dog at a brisk pace. If you do not a dog then ask to borrow the neighbors dog.
• Run around with your kids in the park or play Frisbee or catch
• Volunteer to help maintain local park trails or pick up trash
Your capacity to keep up a physical workout like jogging, racket sports, or even cycling and swimming, is determined by your aerobic fitness or toughness. Typically the greater your stamina the greater will be your health benefits. In order to improve your stamina you will have to start gently and then increase the frequency of your workout.
In order to continue your physical workouts you have to keep motivated. Staying motivated will help train your brain and your body. The following are a few tips to keep you motivated:
• Always keep reminding yourself the reason for that you started the work out.
• Imagine that you have achieved your goal. Through visualization you will be able to motivate yourself more and you will be able to achieve your goals.
• Even if you don’t feel enthusiastic at first, exercising releases chemicals into your brain and this have a very strong effect on your mood. It helps to reduce anxiety and depression. So you will feel better if you just get up and work out.
I can tell you as a Movie Star Workout Mentor, whatever it takes and whatever you find that motivates you, do it. Your health and happiness depends on you keeping fit and active.
