Homemade Sidewalk Chalk Adds Another Layer Of Fun
When the weather is a little warm, the sidewalks in our neighborhood become palettes for little artists up and down the street. And we know how fast our kids can go through the chalk! Seems I’m buying sidewalk chalk every weekend. When I found a homemade chalk recipe I was thrilled. What a great idea this is. Not only is it nice to quit buying so much chalk, but the project is part of the fun, too. Even our littlest ones can help in the preparation of their very own chalk. We’ve even created some outdoor blackboards by painting some old plywood pieces with special paint so our artists will never run out of places to express their creativity. Now, even if it’s a rainy day, we can haul our little plywood “canvas” into the garage or porch and the fun doesn’t have to end.
